Fixed Dental Bridge Application to Replace Missing Teeth
Porcelain Fixed Dental Bridge Procedures in Livermore Falls, ME
If you are missing one or more teeth, your mouth is susceptible to lose structure. Your teeth may also shift if a tooth is out of place, because teeth work together to hold the structure of the mouth. While losing a tooth may not seem like a big deal, it can hurt your mouth in the long run.
A fixed dental bridge is a permanent fixture that will help support the surrounding teeth, and will keep the structure of the mouth. Unlike a partial, the patient cannot freely remove a dental bridge. Spruce Mountain Dentistry in Livermore Falls, ME offers porcelain fixed dental bridges to our patients who have lost one or more teeth. Our goal is to keep our patients’ teeth looking and feeling great. Contact us today to see if a bridge is right for you!

What are the Differences Between Bridges and Implants?
When looking into having a bridge or implant procedure, it is important to know the difference between the two. An implant is installed in the mouth and fuses to the bone. A bridge is installed in-between the surrounding teeth by using crowns, and is cemented in to imitate a real tooth. Both implants and bridges look like real teeth, but one is less invasive than the other. If you are interested in having a bridge or implant procedure, consult with Spruce Mountain Dentistry today. Serving Livermore Falls, ME, and the surrounding areas.
What Happens During a Bridge Procedure?
A bridge procedure, similar to a crown, is completed in two appointments. After numbing the mouth, the surrounding teeth are fashioned and prepared for a crown to be placed on top. We then make a mold of the teeth to accurately create the new bridge. You will be fitted for a temporary bridge until the permanent one is made. At the second appointment, we check over the permanent bridge and check the fit to make sure it is perfect.
